HGV LGV PCV Training
Sirens Driving Academy transport department can offer HGV, LGV, PCV & trailer training in London, Watford, St.Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Harrow and Hertford, plus surrounding areas. Our transport department can offer ex Army instructors and Police with extensive knowledge of HGV, LGV, PCV & trailer training to the highest level in London and Watford.
There are 3 main categories within the HGV training arena and they are C1, C and C+E entitlements. At Sirens Driving Academy we can offer all three with our highly trained HGV, LGV & PCV instructors in London and Watford, as well as our established trailer training department. We already provide trailer training in London, Watford, St.Albans, Hemel, Harrow and Wembley and now our team could help you get qualified to find a job driving a HGV, LGV or PCV in your area.
To obtain your HGV Licence you will need to undergo an HGV medical, apply for an HGV provisional Licence, take a HGV Theory Test, then complete an intensive practical HGV, LGV or PCV training course and test. If you want to get a vocational licence, but will not be driving for a living, you will only need to take and pass part one and part three of what is known as Driver CPC qualification and this is the theory, plus hazard perception and practical tests. You will need to pass all four parts , some of which is covered during your initial training with us, if you want to drive a HGV, LGV or PCV for a living, but there is no requirement during trailer training in London, Watford, Harrow to carry out any CPC.
The two Driver CPC theory tests for HGV, LGV or PCV training in London are:
- part one - theory test (multiple choice and hazard perception)
- part two - case studies
The practical tests are:
- part three - licence acquisition (practical test of driving ability)
- part four - Driver CPC practical test (vehicle safety demonstration)
